The number one priority for all home businesses is to generate customers. You may develop the best techniques for creating website guests, but a visitor is not a buyer. Making money online evolves when you convince potential clients to buy your internet products but, that is only the beginning. You want customers to return. There are three effective methods that can convert internet visitors into paying customers who will become loyal buyers.
1) Create A Buyer By Offering Your Visitor A Free Product
One of the most effective methods for converting a visitor to your online store into a paying customer is to give the potential buyer a free product. When the guest arrives at your internet business, make sure that the word "free" greets them. Don't bury the offer at the bottom of your website. Make sure that the invitation is in the first fold of your home page.
There is nothing more enticing for potential buyers than the word "free". Offer a no cost E-book with their order or give a free sample of another item when an online visitor makes a purchase. If you sell a tangible product, give the possible customer a "buy one get one free" option or offer a no cost item with their order. Do you have a product that is not selling very well? Tell potential buyers you will include this item with their purchase or offer this product with a specific dollar amount sale. Free shipping is another enticement that can turn a visitor into a buyer.
2) Start A Relationship By Following-Up On Your New Customer
Once your visitor has become a buyer, don't ignore them. After they have made their purchase, send an E-mail indicating your gratitude. You need to overcome the impersonal nature of internet selling and make the transaction personal. If you sell a tangible product, E-mail the customer a thank you before and after their product has shipped.
You begin to develop a relationship with your buyer through this process. In addition, you can introduce a complementary product through the correspondence. You can also offer a discount on the next order if they will join your mailing list. You have the opportunity to create a relationship with the new customer that can develop into future sales. Give the new client an incentive to tell their friends and family by offering another free product or a generous discount. Remember, you are sowing the seeds for the future.
3) Develop Credibility By Staying In Contact With Your Buyer
Work from home businesses that sell products on the internet face stiff competition. If you do not want a customer to become a loyal buyer, your online competition will. Correspond with clients regularly and indicate that you are still thinking about them. If they do not react to any of your promotions or incentives, all is not lost.
A lack of response does not mean a lack of interest. Contact your buyer once every two weeks by E-mail. Tell the customer that you have missed them and would like them to come back for a visit.
Remember the free product that enticed them to buy the first time? Offer the patron a no cost E-book or a free sample of a new item that you are going to introduce. You want to develop a relationship where the customer will become a loyal client. Prove to the buyer that you are genuine and sincere. Convince them that you want their business. They will become a lifelong supporter of your home based enterprise.
Selling on the internet is not easy. It requires hard work and a consistent effort. When success arrives for your home business through paying clients why not develop a relationship with them? Time and energy have been invested to create your most valuable resource, a customer. Now it is time to bring additional success to your work from home enterprise. Remember, your visitor wanted to become your customer. That is why that made their purchase. You have the opportunity to create a loyal buyer.
"If we had no regard for others' feelings or fortune, we would grow cold and indifferent to life itself."

Online Shopping Is Gaining Ground This Holiday Season
Author: Mike Fletcher
Where are you planning on doing most of your Christmas shopping this year? The answer to that question to a growing amount of people is they will be doing their shopping online. In fact, a Yahoo! Poll shows three out of four holiday shoppers will buy gifts online and most are likely to purchase from small businesses.
Yahoo commissioned the survey by Harris Interactive. It found that nearly one third of holiday shoppers reported that they would do half of their Christmas shopping online. The figure is especially high (two thirds) for those who are looking for specialty niche or boutique retailers for unique or hard to find gifts. One main reason for the popularity of niche shopping online is that you can save so much time finding them all at your home computer instead of having to drive all across town or to other towns to find the right item.
One interesting figure found is that one fifth of those who choose to do their Christmas shopping online report that they do it while online at work. Men were the most likely to choose to shop online while at work. Young workers were especially likely to shop online while working. The survey found that one fourth of those from the age 18-44 report shopping online while at work in contrast to only 13 percent of those who are 45 or older.
Security and ease of use were the two biggest factors in helping to make the decision to shop online for the holiday season. Three quarters of those who shop online for Christmas says that both choosing a trusted secure online payment system and easy navigating through the site are the two main decisions on choosing where to shop online. Other important factors are simple check out, easy registration, customer service and an attractive and professional looking website.
Some of the main reasons to shop online are better prices, convenience, avoiding malls and crowds and time saving. Shopping online can offer substantial savings. It is very convenient to do your shopping from the comfort of your own home and not have to fight traffic and the crowds of shopping centers and malls. Free shipping is available at many online stores too.
Online retailers often offer deals just like their brick and mortar counterparts do for holiday shopping. However, instead of the holiday shopping season beginning on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, the big day for online shopping is Cyber Monday, the Monday after Thanksgiving. The sales on Cyber Monday have been growing every year and the same is expected for this year.
So where do you plan to do your shopping for this year's Christmas gifts? If you are like most Westerners, you will join them in changing your holiday shopping to an online store.

Safety Measures While Shopping Online
Author: Samuel Hary
This year's online shopping is expected to reach its zenith during the pre-Christmas season; research suggests that the online sales figures will reach £7 billion! With people purchasing at the rate of £4 million per hour in the run up to the Christmas this year, the internet has become a soft target for spammers and net-scamsters who are always on the prowl to pounce upon any gullible netizen.
There are few elementary ways through which one can avoid getting duped online. All you have to do is to take some simple precautions:
· Always shop from a site which boasts of a huge list of offerings, be it retailers or products. I agree that quantity not always translates into quality but then, when so many other people have trusted them, you can follow suit as well.
· Do not reveal your financial details on a 'funny' looking site and if you have slightest of doubts do not hesitate to go through the legal section.
· The website must clearly display information about goods or services before you buy, written confirmation of any order and a 'cooling off period' allowing the buyer to cancel the order for any reason.
· While buying online the consumers enjoy all other rights to which they are entitled while making purchases on the 'high-street'.
· Be extra careful while buying from a site that is not based in the United Kingdom and don't even think about a portal not under the jurisdiction of the EU. Simple explanation being if you want to claim any kind of damage of other amount from them it will take you ages to get it if they are out of jurisdiction of UK and never if they are beyond the reach of EU.
Finally, have a merry, prosperous and safe Christmas. Just don't get too engrossed in the festive spirit that you overlook your security.

4 Great Reasons to Love On-Line Shopping
Author: Patricia Tomaskovic
More and more people are shopping on-line today than ever before, especially with the holidays just around the corner. We're looking for gifts for our kids, gifts for our family, and gifts for our friends. But is shopping on-line safe? Is our information secure? Is it convenient? For as many of those who are on-line shoppers (and I am a big on-line shopper myself), there are just as many, or more, who don't or won't shop on-line. They cite various reasons for their reluctance. Believe me, it can be scary to try new things. So, I have considered the reasons for their fear and apathy and have come up with what I believe are great reasons you gotta love on-line shopping.

1. Security Issues
Many people are worried about putting their personal information out into "cyberspace". Personally, I feel safer on-line. Identity theft actually occurs more in the malls and department stores than on-line according to a recent report on CNN. They report that there are far more opportunities available in a mall.
The truth of the matter is that through the process of encryption, the internet is actually a safe place to shop. Encryption is like coding. The only one who knows what is being coded is the one with the key. Secure socket layers, or SSL, is the protocol that most browsers and web servers use to protect our personal information while it is being transmitted. Keys are created with each transaction and then discarded, with each new transaction producing a new, unique key. There are so many combinations possible with 128-bit, for example, that is has been likened to trying to find one particular grain of sand in the Sahara Desert. You can tell that you are using encryption when you see the padlock symbol on the toolbar. And you should see an "s" appear after the http in the address window.

2. Save Money
These days it is a lot easier to save money on the internet. Shipping and handling can get pretty pricey. However, today many of the stores you can shop at on-line are offering some great shipping deals. In some instances, shipping and handling are waived entirely, if you spend a certain amount of money. Many of the book clubs and stores are offering a low fee for S&H, too, when you purchase a specific dollar amount. The price of gas alone is well worth the cost of S&H. And, although the price of gas has come down some, it can still get pretty costly as you run from mall to mall in search of the newest, hottest, gotta have item.
3. Convenience
This one is a biggie for myself. Rather than fight the throng of mad shoppers, I can shop in the comfort of my own home and buy, compare, research anything I want. You can find just about anything on-line, too, no matter how obscure. I also love the fact that I don't have to beat the traffic to get my shopping done. I don't have to run from store to store to store to try and purchase the items and gifts I know will please everyone on my holiday list. One stop gift shops are perfect in that you can shop for everyone on your list in one place and still get that special something for each person on your list.
4. Comparison Shopping
There are a number of sites on-line where you can comparison shop and get the best deal. The holidays are about giving. That doesn't mean you should break the bank in order to do so. Look at sites like froogle.com, yahooshopping.com, or pricegrabber.com to buy at the best prices on-line or even in your area.
There you are. No more reasons not to avail yourself of the convenience and safety of shopping on-line. I hope I have been able to help you become more comfortable in cyber space. You should enjoy your holidays and shopping on-line gives you that extra time to spend with family and good friends. Happy Holidays and Great Wishes to all of you and yours!!

Make Money Online Using Amazon?
Author: Marty White
Not many people know this, but you can actually make money online using Amazon.
Amazon have set up an affiliate program (they call it the "Amazon Associates Program"). The theory behind the Amazon Associates program is amazingly simple. By sending traffic to the Amazon website, you will earn a commission (between 5%-10%) on all of the sales that result from any visitors that you send.
This is great because it means you do not have to get involved in product fulfillment. You have no stock to store, you don't have to pick and ship orders and, perhaps most importantly of all, you don't need to get involved in any customer service activities. All you have to do is be purely a marketing machine and send traffic to Amazon's site.
Of course, the real trick – in fact the key to making this all work - is to send traffic to the Amazon site at a cost that is less than the revenue you receive from Amazon. If you are able to do that, then you can definitely make a tidy profit in the process.
Now, there are a number of options open to you for creating traffic. You can create traffic for free by writing articles, creating your own blog or even by setting up a website of your own and going through the lengthy process of optimizing your website for the search engines so that your website is listed near the top of the search results. These three methods are time consuming, but they will get you results if you stick with them.
Another way of generating traffic, which unfortunately is not free, is to create advertising campaigns using one of the many pay-per-click options that exist. This basically means using Google Adwords or the similar services offered by Yahoo! and MSN.
If you hadn't already noticed, every time you do a search in Google, you will see a series of paid advertisements down the right-hand-side. You can create adverts that will be displayed when the user types in specific search terms.
So you can pick specific products from the Amazon website to promote and set up a specific pay-per-click campaign for each of these products. Each time the user clicks on one of your adverts, Google will charge you for the click, hence the term pay-per-click. You, in turn, point the user to Amazon's website. If this whole process costs you less than the commission you receive, then you make a profit.
Simple as that!
Well, not quite. But help is at hand. If you are interested in learning how it is possible to make good money as an Amazon Affiliate, visit my website now for more information.

The Ease of Online Shopping
Author: Anmol Taneja
The Internet has completely revolutionized the retail shopping industry. With online shopping, the consumer now has many different ways to shop without ever having to leave the comfort of their own home. Prior to the Internet, catalog sales were the only way that people could shop from their recliner while seated in front of the television. The choices you had were limited to the catalogs with which you had a subscription. Online shopping has revolutionized the way people are shopping from home.
The Consumer Controls The Online Shopping Industry
With the creation of the Internet, competitive shopping and pricing has taken a complete turn for the consumer. As a consumer that uses the Internet for most of my personal and gift shopping, I have learned to price compare through visits to web sites of retail outlets, major discount markets, shopping forums such as craigslist and auction companies like ebay. Online shopping provides multiple resources for the consumer price and product compare with multiple retail outlets. This freedom is the boost that keeps the Online shopping industry gaining in popularity.
Retail Outlets And Online Markets Compete For Business
With the wide range of Online shopping outlets, I can actively seek a price that I want to pay for an item, rarely do I pay full retail price for anything. I can go online shopping at a major toy store and gather information on the retail cost of the gifts or items I want to purchase. I can then go to discount online outlets or auction sites and price shop for the items. Without ever leaving my home, I can shop and compare for nearly every purchase that I want to make.
